Zaal Samadashvili, a writer-essayist, was  born on 3 October 1953. He is a graduate of Tbilisi State University, Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics.

He was a lecturer at  State Technical University and was a principle of Tbilisi Public School N 53 

Zaal Samadashvili was a member of the City Council and later  its Chairman.

He is the  author of seven collections of short stories.

Zaal Samadashvili was awarded the Presidential Order of Excellence.
